In 2020, our teams fabricated and installed the structural steel and Corten cladding for Kingston Foreshore’s newest jetty. The jetty completes the Sapphire Apartments development by BLOC on the eastern edge of the foreshore.

Working out of the boat and on-land, our team of riggers installed pre-assembled sections of the jetty seamlessly. The Corten cladding was then installed over our structural steel framing and will now patina with age, wear, and weather conditions specific to the site.

Corten or weathering steel is a versatile and hard-wearing product that suits the Australian landscape. It’s unique properties allow it to rust in order to protect the structural integrity of the material.
