Our extensive body of work at Manuka Oval includes the fabrication and installation of the Camera Tower at the northern end of the oval. This tower compliments the broadcasting capabilities of the Media Centre at the southern end of the ground, which we supplied and installed in 2018, also for Kane Constructions.

The tower was designed with a maximum deflection allowance of 2mm, making fabrication and installation accuracy critical. The tower consists of a galvanised central stair within the structural frame. The balustrade was made from a perforated metal that we powder coated in-house, with a handrail installed on the inside edge of the stair. The camera platform then sits on the structural frame and is braced to minimise deflection.

The Camera Tower allows Manuka Oval to host high profile sporting events which can be broadcast with increased coverage and quality.
